Peter Delis has been a practising accountant and business advisor in the accounting profession for over 30 years.
He is a graduate and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a practitioner Fellow member of the Institute of Public Accountants. He obtained in 1986 a Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting and sub major in Commercial Law from Victoria University (formerly FIT ) .
Since 1995 he has been an External Examiner for the Victorian Legal Services Board reporting on various Melbourne Legal firms trust reporting obligations. In 2005 he obtained a Graduate Certificate in Fraud Investigation form La Trobe University to further his career and successfully became an expert witness and forensic accountant.He is currently an Associate member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
Peter now receives instructions from solicitors to report on Business Valuations, Investigations, and Quantifying Business Loss for Litigation and Forensic Support Matters before all court jurisdictions.
In 2013 he successfully completed the post tertiary Executive Certificate in Turnaround Management at the University of Technology in Sydney. and is a Certified Turnaround Professional Associate with the Turnaround Management Association .
In 2017, he commenced a MBA with Deakin University in order to better understand the new age of disruptive technology and current business practices that the new generation of entrepreneurs and starts up enterprises apply to scale from concept to maturity.
Before Peter started his own private practice of over 28 years he worked for Bird Cameron. Chartered Accountants and Pannell Kerr Forster , Chartered Accountants as a Business Services Senior.
When he operated his business he also assisted many family groups with their operations and governance. compliance as well as business owners at a small to medium enterprise level with meeting their wealth – extraction and estate planning objectives. To further his career and to service his clients he was an Authorised Representative and Proper Authority Holder for Count Financial Limited for over 8 years. He also focused in his private practice to service and establish Self Managed Superannuation Funds ( SMSF )and become a SMSF Specialist Adviser in 2010 with the SMSF Association as well as becoming a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2012 with The Tax Institute.
He also currently holds a Limited Authorised Representative of Inter Prac Financial Planning Pty Ltd in order to satisfy and be RG 146 Compliant.
Peter also has extensive experience in Corporate Governance and Risk since he has been a director and secretary of numerous private companies in the last 30 years. Currently he is a Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Lebanon Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Victoria.
