Vice President & Founding Director
Rosanna Baini JP has been an Executive Director with the Australia Lebanon Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALCCI) since its inception in 2012 where she currently services as Vice President. The Business Women’s Group is a branch of the ALCCI.
Rosanna is an Academic Lecturer at Victoria University in the College of Health and Biomedicine where she currently lectures in Health Science, Cosmetic Chemistry, Dermal Science, Philosophy, Cognition in Dermal Science, Research Methods, Legal and Ethical Dermal Practices and Communications in Dermal Science.
In 2002, Rosanna was inducted to the Victorian Honour Role by the Victorian State Government and was appointed in 2017 where she currently serves as Ambassador for Women on Equality.
The highlight of Rosanna’s diverse and rewarding career was her role as Victorian Commissioner for Multicultural Affairs within the Department of Premier and Cabinet. This was a rewarding role with Rosanna’s focus being in the areas of Youth, Justice, Government services (Immigration and Education), Sports, the Arts and Business helping various Chambers of Commerce from different community groups. She has enjoyed further success as Commercial Sales Manager in the family business, Baines Pest Control; and as an active member of the Victorian Maronite Community Stewardship Committee and several other mainstream organizations such as the Chief Justices Advisory Committee (Family Law Court), Austcare, Red Cross, Court Network, and Victorian School of Languages.
Before being the first Lebanese woman to be appointed Commissioner for Multicultural Affairs, in 1994 Rosanna was appointed as a Justice of the Peace (JP) and coordinated the JP registers, on behalf of the Department of Justice at Mill Park Police Station and Epping Police Station. She further served as a Bail Justice from 1994 until 2009, conducting ‘Out-of-sessions’ court hearings. This was an appointment was by the Attorney General of Victoria.
